The moderately cross-linked, oxidatively stable polyethylene insert maintains material toughness, providing excellent wear performance. A highly polished cobalt chrome tray provides a smooth surface, minimizing friction and decreasing long-term wear. Finally, the tray and insert have a secure fit, achieving two important goals:
1) decreased the total volumetric wear.
2) maintaining the system’s modular flexibility.
